From Inspiration to Lost Wax Casting

We use ProJet printing from approved CAD files and wax injection from rubber molds to prepare patterns for eligible projects. Material compatibility, geometry, connections and supports are reviewed before production.

How Our Lost Wax Casting Process Works

The agreed service scope determines how far your project continues after casting.

Step 1: Wax Pattern

Prepare the pattern through approved printing or wax injection. Contact us before sending physical patterns.

Step 2: Investment and Burnout

The pattern is surrounded by investment, then removed during burnout to create the cavity for casting.

Step 3: Metal Casting

The selected metal is cast into the prepared cavity using the process suited to the project.

Step 4: Cleanup and Finishing

Regular casting is supplied raw with supports cut off; support remnants may remain. Advanced adds support cleanup, microscopic inspection, minor laser repairs where needed and tumbling. Final hand polishing and stone setting are separately quoted.

Crafted for Uniqueness, Backed by Technology

Our team reviews your design for its intended manufacturing route. If modifications are required, we explain them before proceeding. We may decline or cancel production if a design cannot be approved and required changes are not made.

FAQs

We understand that choosing the right casting service raises many questions. That’s why we’ve gathered answers to the most common inquiries about lost wax casting, materials, and production timelines to help you make the best decision.

Which metals do you cast?

Gold, pure and sterling silver, 950 platinum with ruthenium or iridium, and brass. See each metal service page for the current Regular and Advanced rates.

What design details need review?

We review geometry, connections, supports and suitability for jewelry production. Recessed lettering intended to cast into the piece must be at least 0.4 mm deep. No width or length minimum is specified by that depth rule.

What is the casting turnaround?

We confirm casting timing after reviewing the design, metal, quantity and service scope. Printing and mold-making timelines are separate stages.

How do Regular and Advanced casting differ?

Regular is raw casting with supports cut off and remnants potentially visible. Advanced includes support cleanup, microscopic inspection, minor laser repairs where needed and tumbling. Final hand polishing is a separate service.

Can I request single pieces or production quantities?

Yes. Include the quantity for each model so we can review the project and provide an estimate.

Can I supply gold for casting?

Gold must come directly from a dealer approved by us for purity and reputation. Customers cannot deliver or ship gold directly. Approved dealer-supplied gold is charged for casting labor only, with no gold loss fee.
